![]() If you want to practice magic in the world of The Sims 4, you'll need to transform yourself into what's now called a Spellcaster: a catch-all term covering aspects of several magical creature types from previous Sims games. It wouldn't be a supernatural Sims add-on without a new creature type, and Realm of Magic does not disappoint. Smaller than a full expansion but larger than a stuff pack, The Sims 4 game packs are new to this generation of the franchise, and each one introduces a single complete new mechanic to the game.Īs you probably guessed, Realm of Magic introduces magic - a dark horse mechanic since the days of 2003's The Sims: Makin' Magic - to the fourth generation of Sims games. It usually doesn't happen when you split the household via Manage Households.Looking for wizards and witch shenanigans? The Sims 4 Spellcasters are one of the major new additions to Realm of Magic, the late 2019 game pack that brought magic into the mundane in The Sims 4. I've found that this usually happens when you move a sim via the move out and split household options on the phone or computer. If you can't then, you should be able to sell it in build mode. Sometimes, even though your sim can't pick the item up since it's not owned, you can drag it into the sim's inventory. So if you're playing a one sim household, you might have to add a sim temporarily to get it to work. But it does require more than one sim in the household. If the items are in your sim's inventory, you can gift them to another sim in the household and then they seem to get counted as owned by that sim and for the household and will get counted in the collection. Basically, since the items aren't being recognized as owned by your sim, they won't get counted for the collections. Hope this have seen this in my game from time to time with various collectibles, not just the beans. It usually doesn't happen when you split the household via Manage Households. Again my sim wasn't able to pick it up as the callout box stated ' does not own this item.' This gives me reason to believe something needs to be fixed within the programming of Sims have seen this in my game from time to time with various collectibles, not just the beans. I fired up my old computer and attempted to do the samething with the magic beans once order/purchased. I have tried repairing and updating my game, still with the same results.Īny ideas on how to rectify this issue? Is this a glitch that has transposed since the Origin Beta Dash started? I thought it was something to do with my computer seeing as I just bought this computer and something didn't download properly. My sims can not pick it up and it's not registering as an item collected. But, with the extra magical beans in my sim's inventory does not recognize it as an owned item of any sim. A Forbidden Fruit Tree has grown and produces fruit. A Forbidden Fruit seed has been planted from the Mystical Magic Portal Tree. All of the magic beans have been used in creating the Mystical Magic Bean Portal Tree. My sim ordered/purchased the rare seed packets.
